Remote training works best when lab access is simple and instructors can help without breaking the learner’s workflow. Clover VDI combines browser-oriented access with controlled lab sharing so participants can open environments and collaborate from the same My Labs experience.
Open the right access method
After a lab is created and running, the user selects Display. Clover VDI presents the access methods configured for that template, such as terminal access or application access. This keeps infrastructure details behind a consistent interface and lets the template define the appropriate route into the environment.
Share with the correct permission
Inside the virtual-machine view, the sharing control offers two modes. Read Only is useful for demonstrations, observation and review because the guest can see the shared session without changing it. Read & Write supports guided practice and troubleshooting by allowing the guest to interact with the shared environment.
Open a shared lab
The recipient returns to My Labs and selects Shared Labs. Clover VDI displays the shared virtual labs available to that user, including the owner and access mode. Selecting the Open icon launches the shared environment with the permission chosen by its owner.
Use collaboration intentionally
- Use Read Only for live demonstrations and assessments that must not be altered.
- Use Read & Write for pair work, instructor assistance and supervised remediation.
- Confirm the selected mode before sharing sensitive or stateful environments.
- Stop or unshare a lab when the collaboration session is complete.
See the Clover VDI collaboration documentation for role-specific instructions.
