In the creation phase, we install Visual Studio Code (VS Code), and in the extension phase, we add Jupyter. This tutorial serves as a reference for installing various IT tools compatible with multi-session support on Windows 10 and 11, referencing Clover&#8217;s image management practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-part-1-creating-a-new-lab-image-with-windows-11-and-vs-code\">Part 1: Creating a New Lab Image with Windows 11 and VS Code<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-step-1-create-a-new-lab-image-based-on-windows-11-with-vs-code\">Step 1: Create a New Lab Image Based on Windows 11 with VS Code<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Initiate Image Creation in Clover<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log into your Clover administrator account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Image Management<\/strong> and select <strong>Create Image<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2. Choose Image Creation Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ensure the <strong>&#8220;Create from existing image&#8221;<\/strong> option is <strong>unchecked<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This creates a fresh, clean image based on native Windows 11.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Enter Lab Image Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide a clear and descriptive <strong>Lab Image Name<\/strong>, e.g., <em>&#8220;Web-development-tools&#8221;<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select <strong>Windows 11<\/strong> as the base operating system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>4. Set Administrator Credentials<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Define the <strong>Administrator Username<\/strong> and a strong, secure <strong>Password<\/strong> for the image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Record these credentials carefully, as they&#8217;ll be needed to access and manage the image.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>5. Configure OS Disk and Image Size<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>OS Disk Type:<\/strong> Choose the type of disk for the operating system.<br><em>(Premium SSD is recommended for optimal performance.)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Image Size:<\/strong> Select the desired image size, considering your requirements for CPU and RAM performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Note:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The selection of <strong>OS Disk Type<\/strong> and <strong>Image Size<\/strong> is exclusively relevant to the image creation process. This choice is entirely independent of the virtual machine sizes used later to instantiate the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) host pool. Specific VM sizes and configurations for your AVD host pool will be defined separately during host pool creation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>\u201cCreate Image\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;once all fields are completed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img 1: Create from Existing Image<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In Clover, Ensure the &#8220;<strong>Create from existing image<\/strong>&#8221; option is unchecked.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the previously created Windows 11 image containing VS Code.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give a new name for the image (e.g.
