IT administrators can create new users manually, synchronize them directly from the Microsoft Entra ID directory, or automatically retrieve them from the LMS when users log in via the LMS. This flexibility ensures seamless and efficient user management across all platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This guide will help you understand how to manage users effectively within the Clover system. User Management involves adding users, assigning roles, managing permissions, and ensuring that your Clover instance is secure and organized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-1-overview-of-user-roles\">1. Overview of User Roles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Clover provides a role-based access control system to ensure that users have the appropriate permissions for their responsibilities. Below is an overview of the key roles available in Clover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Administrator<\/strong>: Full access to all features and settings in Clover, including user management, system configuration, and reporting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Instructor<\/strong>: Access to create, manage, and deliver courses. Instructors can view reports related to their students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Learner<\/strong>: Access to participate in courses, complete assignments, and view their progress.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each role is designed to provide users with the tools and permissions they need without compromising security.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-2-listing-users\">2. Creating or Importing New User Accounts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Clover-VTL allows administrators to either <strong>import users<\/strong> from external systems or <strong>manually create new user accounts<\/strong>. Below are the available options for adding users to the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-1-importing-users\">3.1 Importing Users<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If your organization is integrated with an LMS such as <strong>Moodle, Canvas, or Blackboard<\/strong>, users can be <strong>automatically synchronized<\/strong>. The system retrieves user details directly from the LMS without requiring manual intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-a-importing-from-a-learning-management-system-lms\">a. AD<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the users you want to import.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assign each user an appropriate <strong>role<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>&#8220;Import Selected Users&#8221;<\/strong> to complete the process.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" these users will be able to log in using <strong>Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-3-2-creating-a-new-user-account-manual-entry\">3.2 Creating a New User Account (Manual Entry)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If a user is <strong>not available<\/strong> in an LMS or Azure AD, administrators can <strong>manually create<\/strong> an account in Clover-VTL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-steps-to-create-a-new-user\">Steps to create a new user<strong>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the <strong>&#8220;Create&#8221;<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the required details:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong>: The full name of the user.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Email<\/strong>: The user&#8217;s email address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong>: A secure password for the user.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Address (Optional)<\/strong>: The user&#8217;s physical address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Image URL (Optional)<\/strong>: A link to the user&#8217;s profile image.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Phone (Optional)<\/strong>: The user&#8217;s phone number.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Roles<\/strong>: Assign the appropriate <strong>role<\/strong> to define the user&#8217;s access level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once all fields are completed, click the <strong>&#8220;Save User&#8221;<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The user will then be added to the system and
